My BAR Testimony
I want to return all the glory to God for what He has already begun to do in my life through this retreat.
I am a member of the DGC UK family, and every night I join the 10:00 p.m. Prayer Watch. On Monday, 27th July, I joined as usual. During the prayer meeting, we were instructed to pair up in twos and pray for one another. I couldn’t find anyone to pair with, so I tagged a lady and asked if she could pray for me. She replied that she would pray and then send me a direct message.
A few minutes later, she messaged me, and I was amazed. By the Spirit of God, she spoke so accurately about everything I am currently going through. She also shared what God wanted me to know and revealed that the Lord wanted to speak to me and show me certain things concerning my waiting season.
She then asked if I was attending the Battle Axe Retreat (BAR). I told her I wasn’t because I didn’t have the financial capacity to register. Without hesitation, she reached out to someone to confirm if registration was still open, and immediately sent me the money to register. That same night, I registered for BAR.
As all this was happening, the Holy Spirit reminded me of a prayer I had started praying just last week after watching Upper Room with Minister Dunsin Oyekan. He shared a prayer he consistently prays:
“Lord, may I always be at the right place, at the right time, with the right people, and with the right motive.”
That prayer resonated deeply with me, and I made it my personal prayer from that day. I have been praying it consistently, and on Monday, I saw God answer it so clearly. He positioned me in the right place, connected me with the right person, and provided the exact help I needed at the right time.
As Pastor Lawrence Oyor was teaching and emphasizing the importance of being at the right place, at the right time, with the right help, the Holy Spirit reminded me of everything that had happened on Monday and impressed it on my heart that this testimony should be shared.
Then, last night, while I was in the bathroom praying in the Spirit, the Lord began to give me very specific instructions concerning my current situation. He explained certain things to me and showed me practical steps I need to take to come out of my waiting season. Later, after speaking with my mum, what the Lord had revealed was confirmed, and everything made even more sense.
The Lord didn’t stop there. During the confession session, I also received the names of my future children. In addition, the Lord gave me specific instructions concerning my brother.
I am deeply grateful because I know God has only just begun. I am confident that before the end of this Battle Axe Retreat, I will return to share the second part of this testimony.
