About Battle Axe Retreat
The Battle Axe Retreat (BAR) is an immersive gathering of believers in fasting, prayer, and fellowship with a vision to equip disciples who will boldly carry the gospel of Jesus to unreached places and lost souls worldwide in spirit and power.
Drawing inspiration from Jeremiah 51:20-23, the vision was conceived by Pst Lawrence Oyor with the burden to raise Battle Axes for the Lord with a mandate to dismantle the strongholds of Babylon.
Thus, this regular convergence of believers, both young and old, holds immense significance in God’s end-time revival strategy.
The retreat is usually a time of deep worship, enlightening biblical teachings, interactive workshops, prolonged periods of prayer, corporate meditation, and community outreaches where the power of God is often on display with remarkable signs, wonders, and miracles following.
The maiden edition was held in Ibadan, Nigeria in 2017. The Battle Axe Retreat emerged from a desire to raise individuals who would fearlessly partner with God to usher in revival in their territories and globally.
Following the Spirit’s leading, the Battle Axe Retreat expanded to Benin Republic in 2021, the United States and United Kingdom in 2023, and is set to reach other nations worldwide.
Participants at the retreat since inception have reported deep fellowship with God, clarity about their callings and assignments, a heightened awareness of God’s presence, and several other testimonies.
